House Manager – Roundhay

Daphne was born in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). She began her working life as a Ledger Clerk at a bank and was promoted to Manager’s Assistant before later marrying and helping her husband to run their busy farm.

Following a move to the UK, Daphne was first introduced to Abbeyfield in Sutton. She joined the staff there as a House Manager in 2002 and, in February 2010, joined Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society in the same capacity. During Daphne’s years with the Society, she has completed many courses including, Safeguarding & protection of Adults, Emergency First Aid, Food Safety, Infection Prevention & Control and Dementia.
